Hi. i would like to build the dro on my lathe.And i hope another for my future mill 
I have arduino uno with atmega328p and the lauchpad msp-exp430g2. But i dont know witch scales to use at all.I bought several moths ago some ic AS5040 for another project but i dont know how to connect them or if they are compatible.And i got a brand new chinese rotary encoder type A38S6-400-2-2-24.But will this setup work with cheap calipers?thanks
