Touch probe, anybody?

Curious if there is an economical solution to this or just hand roll like the one here.  Seems almost too easy.

Does anyone here have experience with probes?

I bought the EconoProbe 3D. It was around $100, but it's brain-dead easy to make one as well.
When I get time I'll post some pictures.

Thanks for the reply Yuriy. I've started making one since they are definitely "brain-dead" easy and I have a bunch of 1.75" Acetal rod laying around. If you like, I can document the more "interesting" parts of the build.

On a side note, I finished swinging TouchDRO over to my Wells Index 847 last night. Works like a charm with your quadrature board, not surprisingly of course :-)

I don't think I could ever thank you enough for sharing TouchDRO with the world. It has saved me countless hours, dollars, and material. Plus it gets my young daughters in the shop with me because they love cranking the handles to a specified number!

So in short, thank you!
