Quadrature Adapter Board - leew - 12-09-2017

Does the quadrature adapter board work with TTL output?  This page leads me to believe that it will, but when I connect the scales the 4th led turns red and no reading is updated on the screen.

The forth LED is touch probe. What port are you plugging in the scales into?

I'm trying to use the M-DRO 5 micron magnetic encoders with the board.  I've tried plugging into the X, Y, & Z ports.  If I plug the scales into any of these ports the touch light comes on and no movement is detected, so I'm sure that I have not connected them correctly.  Attached is a schematic of how I have connected them and a scan of the pin outs from the technical information sheet available online and the installation guide that was sent to me with the scales.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The connection looks reasonable. Are you getting any output from the board to the tablet?

I can connect via bluetooth but I don't get any output to the tablet.

Hm, I tried to mess with a board to reproduce this behavior by shorting pins to the ground, to each other etc. and I can't get the board to do this.
Where are you located geographically?

Would you be willing to send the board and one of the scales to me so I can troubleshoot it for you? If it ends up being my problem I will cover the shipping both ways.
Thank you
Yuriy

Hi Yuriy,

I think it is my problem.  I was was able to work on it this weekend and took the db9 connector apart on the scales to verify the wiring.  I discovered that the pin out in the installation guide is not correct and the pin out in the technical information sheet is correct for the male connector.  I changed the wiring around and was able to get the z axis to read the scales.  The X & Y axis don't read anything and the touch light stays on all the time, so I am assuming that I fried something when it was connected incorrectly.  I just ordered a new board from you and expect it to work with the correct connections.  Thank you for your great technical support and offer to troubleshoot it for me.

Unless the PCB itself is thrashed, I can almost certainly repair whatever you could've damaged on the board. Please send it back to me. Worst case it will cost you a few dollars worth if ICs (much less than a whole new board).
