Z Axis on Bench Top Mill - leepeedin - 07-13-2016 Here's a link to a video of replacing the built in Z axis DRO in my PM-1127M mill. This is in preparation of implementing Al Bassett's blu-DRO wireless module to connect to the TouchDRO software. I will be posting a follow up video as soon as I get the module from Al. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ufpk_ipA8Q Pragmatic Lee RE: Z Axis on Bench Top Mill - Yuriy - 07-13-2016 (07-13-2016, 05:31 PM)leepeedin Wrote: Here's a link to a video of replacing the built in Z axis DRO in my PM-1127M mill. Lee, Nice video. I've been enjoying your videos for a few months now... I'm going through similar gymnastics with my Sieg SX4 mill, except I need to mount a glass scale there and my mill has much less space. Regards Yuriy RE: Z Axis on Bench Top Mill - leepeedin - 07-13-2016 Thanks for watching. My little YouTube channel has a lot of growing yet to do, but it's coming along bit by bit. Your software and Al's module are sure to be featured in upcoming videos. Al contributed 2 of his modules to the Bar Z Summer Bash in CA a couple of weeks back. One of them went unclaimed by the winner so Stan (Bash organizer) sent it to me (after a bit of nagging and begging). It literally took less than a minute to put it in place and start using it. I had a few minutes yesterday in the shop and installed it on my lathe. Don't even have a mount for the tablet yet - that will probably be Saturday's project. I have another module ordered from Al that will go on my mill. I am so looking forward to having a DRO with a large enough display for an old man's eyes. Thanks so much for this project! |
