I'd like to use these Shahe 5403-xxxF scales on my G704-type mill. Which TouchDRO board should I buy? Will I need any sort of firmware updates to use these scales?

Yes, that is what I'm wanting to know, if the xxxF is compatible with that one.
Is there a specific Facebook group, or just the TouchDRO page? I tried through the TouchDRO page awhile ago, but got no response.
Try to PM Yuri on this site, or track down some XXXA scales, likely a first version and they are now onto their 6th version.

Were you able get a response from Yuri or anyone else on this question on the 5403-XXXF scales as I am considering the same scales?
I hope so because I just took delivery of three as well as a diy board. So far no luck. Using the xxxA settings i just get random numbers being generated
I can give back to the community. I took my 5403-xxxf apart and here is the pin out that works.
USB. Touch DRO
D+ -> ground
Id -> +ve
Vebus -> data
D- -> clock
Enjoy
One more thing.
I installed three 5403-xxxF scales on my RF30. I was able to install everything without drilling a single hole in the mill. I used a combination of existing bolt holes and manufactured brackets to achieve this. If anyone is interested let me know.
