I saw this addition in the notes for the new release. The Scale Parameters page on the TouchDRO says to measure it by moving the axis 1" in one direction, then 1" back, and compare the readings. I didn't see any procedure in the user manual (yet).
I used a 1" travel dial indicator, moved my X-axis one way exactly 1", then back to zero. the readout displayed 0.0004". The hysteresis setting wants a number of counts, so I multiplied my CPI (5081.25) by 0.0004, and got 2.0325. It only allowed me to enter the whole number, so 2. I repeated the test, and it displayed 0.0002" when I returned to zero, which is within one count.
Did I do this correctly?
